DIL Trust UK was established on March 9, 2007 to provide people residing in the United Kingdom the opportunity to participate in the work DIL does in Pakistan. It seeks to establish and/or adopt, and operate primary and secondary schools for less privileged children, primarily girls, in the under-developed and rural regions of Pakistan.
DIL Trust UK is registered with the Charity Commission UK (Registration No. 1122924) as a charitable trust governed by the rules of England & Wales. It deals with all aspects of work from acquiring grants from private and public sector resources to closely monitoring the management of the schools. DIL Trust UK guides and oversees all fund raising efforts in the United Kingdom, and adheres to the guidelines set out by the Charity Commission. In addition it is responsible for auditing and accounting yearly revenues and expenses and ensuring that the same is in the public domain.

DIL Trust UK is committed to raising the standard of education in all of its schools by:
- Providing ongoing teacher training
- Improving infrastructure
- Raising medical and hygiene awareness
- Establishing libraries and computer labs
- Building the capacity of the field staff
- Setting up vocational training
- Setting up mentor systems for its students
The Mehran School - DIL Trust UK Orangi
The commencement of DIL Trust UK’s work was marked by the purchase of the Mehran school at Orangi, Karachi in January 2008. The total student strength of The Mehran School - DIL Trust UK stands at 180, majority of who are in nursery to grade 2. The school currently covers key subjects including English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Studies, Art, Urdu and Religious studies.
A key focus for DIL Trust UK will be to continuously work with the school staff to ensure the implementation of ongoing teacher training programs. Additionally, DIL Trust UK will work towards improving school facilities such as sanitation, building infrastructure and tutoring amenities to create a safe and comprehensively equipped learning environment.
