School Concert Raises Funds for DIL
Menlo School in Atherton, California, raised $948 for DIL at its Battle of the Bands competition in April. The fundraiser was sponsored by the school’s Amnesty Club and the organization NetAid, which works to empower high school students to take action against global poverty through their Global Citizen Corps program. Annamaria Prati, a junior and the Citizen Corps leader at Menlo, organized this event as her fourth campaign of the year in honor of International Education Week.
