In 2006, overall teachers had 98% attendance and students’ attendance was 91%. This school has grades kindergarten, one and two. The Field Promoter, Ms. Naheed Chana, visits this school at least twice a month and reports that the teacher at this school is focusing on her teaching of the phonetic method to improve students’ English pronunciation. The teacher is also incorporating more story telling into her instruction. The students show themselves to be very confident and excited about school. In 2006 all ten students of grade two moved onto the next grade level at the Sobhodero.
Ms. Chana holds regular meetings with the Community-Based Organization (CBO) whose members contribute financially to help improve this school.
