In 2006, overall teachers had 97% attendance and students’ attendance was 92%. This school has grades kindergarten, one and two. The Field Promoter, Ms. Naheed Chana, visits this school at least twice a month and reports that the teacher of this school is new and replaced another teacher who had to leave for personal reasons. The new teacher had 15 days of observation time to prepare her before she began working in the classroom. Ms. Chana also gave this teacher reading and writing assignments to help prepare her. All three students from grade two from this school moved up to the Katheri Pathano Model School.
DIL-IRC and members of the Community-Based Organization (CBO) worked together with a donated plot to construct this school. It previously was adjoined to the Model School. Furthermore, Ms. Chana met with the CBO members to discuss school monitoring and students’ attendance.
