In 2006, overall teachers had 96% attendance and students’ attendance was 90%. This school has grades kindergarten, one and two. The Field Promoter, Ms. Shabana Arain, visits this school at least twice a month and has been helping the teacher to improve her English pronunciation and teaching skills. She is also encouraging the teacher to incorporate more activities into the classroom. Six students passed their examinations to move on from grade two to the Kuhra Model School.
Ms. Arain meets regularly with parents and the Community-Based Organization (CBO) members to discuss student attendance and health issues. In 2006 village members donated a plot on which a separate one room structure with a washroom and toilet was constructed for the school.
