During our luncheon, we will have a panel of refugee/immigrant girls, sharing their stories about how education has impacted their lives. You will also learn about action items you can take to positively impact the lives of girls in Pakistan.
Meet our Panel Moderator
Rose Scott is an award-winning journalist and co-host of WABE 90.1 FM’s midday news program, Closer Look. Scott has been honored with several awards including a Southeast Regional Emmy Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Atlanta Association of Black Journalists Award. She has also received awards from the Georgia Associated Press and is a Girls Inc. Strong, Smart & Bold Award Winner. She has been nationally recognized for reporting on the plight of an Atlanta homeless shelter, and received a GABBY award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for best sportscast in radio.
