Giving Back

Shaan Malik has been a volunteer for DIL Ottawa since the age of 5. He has supported DIL by helping raise  money, reciting inspirational poetry and attending DIL events. Through the years Shaan has come to realize the importance of DIL's efforts. Shaan wants DIL students to have all the resources he and his classmates have in Ottawa, like a computer lab, a full library and of course, a play structure to use during recess. 

 This year for his 10th birthday, Shaan asked his friends to make donations to DIL instead of buying him presents.  As a result, Shaan and his friends raised $140 for the students of DIL.  Shaan is pleased to do his part and encourages everyone to get involved.  Every little bit helps and certainly goes a long way.
